It is in these times that God’s power and comfort are most evident. The challenge is to remain faithful even in the difficult times, even when there is no one left to provide support. Weakness looks like failure in the eyes of the world, but for Paul weakness is an avenue to share in Jesus’ death and, therefore, in His life as well. Check your faith! Are you really in the faith? Do you still not know that Jesus the Anointed is in you?-unless, of course, you have failed the test.” - 2 Corinthians 13:5 (The Voice)Īgain we turn to the translators of The Voice, which add this statement prior to the verse: Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” - 1 Timothy 6:12 NIV

“Since we have been acquitted and made right through faith, we are able to experience true and lasting peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King.Jesus leads us into a place of radical grace where we are able to celebrate the hope of experiencing God’s glory.” - Romans 5:1-2 (The Voice) Without faith no one can please God because the one coming to God must believe He exists, and He rewards those who come to seek him. In the New Testament we read these Bible quotes about faith, which confirms our statement about Christ: Isaiah’s words are as powerful for us as they were to Ahaz, “If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.” So this faith verse is the most important essential, reminding us that we must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

That sign was the birth of Jesus Christ, the everlasting father, the prince of peace, on which governments will rest. This passage is pivotal because from this point, Isaiah introduced the sign that God was going to give even though Ahaz was not interested. He refused to ask for a sign, and he refused to trust in his God. Ahaz proved that he would not stand on his faith. He urged Ahaz to seek the Lord and ask for a sign. In the following verses Isaiah defined faith. The key verse in his dialog said this, “If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.” - Isaiah 7:9 (NIV) During this time Isaiah was instructed to pay Ahaz a visit and urge him on in the faith. Tribes in Israel were forming alliances and fighting against each other. Isaiah 7 contains a key pivotal passage that demonstrates the importance of faith essentials. Are there faith essentials, things in which we must have faith?.Before we observe Bible verses about faith, take some time to reflect on the following questions, or discuss them in your Bible Study group:
